ETC Response Gateway (Unicast)
Steps to configure an ETC Response Gateway for use with a single Vor device
This will not impact the communication between the gateway and an ETC Eos console.
Required Items
ETC Response Gateway (MIDI or SMPTE)
A device running ETC’s Concert software
This assumes the IP address is already configured for all devices.
In Concert
Click "Begin Work"
Right click in the bottom left hand box (Discovered Devices) and click "Add All Devices"
Click the "Spreadsheet" tab
Click the Response MIDI or SMPTE Gateway
SMPTE
Under the property editor, open "UDP SMPTE"
Change the "Destination IP Address" to the IP address of your Vor device
MIDI
Under the property editor, open "UDP MIDI"
Open "MIDI In"
Change the "Destination IP Address" to the IP address of your Vor device
Change the "Destination UDP Port" to 5004
Change the "UDP Terminator" to CR
Click "Send Device Configuration" in the top menu bar (red arrow, not red arrow with globe)
In Vor:
Open Preferences
Click Connections
Click "ETC Response (Default)"
Change the format to either MIDI or SMPTE, depending on the gateway in use
Change the "Terminator" to "Carriage Return (CR)"
Change the "Port" to "5004"
Place a widget as you normally would
When timecode runs, you should now be able to see it on both the gateway's screen, and in Vor
